LAHORE : Former Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Member Punjab Assembly, Ejaz Alam Augustine, visited the villages affected by the floods along the River Sutlej and met with the displaced families. He assured them that they would not be left alone in this difficult time, and expressed hope that this testing phase would soon pass, God willing.

Floodwaters have entered several villages including Sehajra, Dhoop Sari, Chhant, Mumbkay, Nagar Aimanpura, Mustikay, Kalinjar, Chanda Singh, Basti Ibrahim, Mahiwala, Fateewala, Kamal Pura, Bakkhi Wind and Haku Wala. Standing crops have been destroyed, and local communities are facing severe hardships as a result.
Ejaz Alam Augustine personally interacted with the affected families, offering them sympathy and solidarity, while also assuring full support. He further stated that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is also standing firmly with the victims, and the Government of Punjab is taking all possible steps for their relief and rehabilitation. He emphasized that through collective efforts and mutual cooperation, these challenges will soon be overcome, and reaffirmed that the rehabilitation of affected families remains the top priority of the Punjab government.
