LAHORE: To promote tourism and environmental protection, the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab’s Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (ITHM) and the College of Earth and Environmental Sciences (CEES), University of the Punjab, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Under this agreement, both institutions agreed to collaborate in the fields of tourism, hospitality, and environmental sciences. Through this partnership, CEES students will receive practical training at ITHM, while students of Culinary Arts and Hospitality will benefit from modern training facilities. Furthermore, the collaboration includes the launch of an Associate Degree Program in Tourism and Hospitality Management, as well as joint faculty exchange programs, workshops, lectures, and curriculum development.
According to the MoU, students will be offered industry-based and research internships, while seminars, conferences, and awareness campaigns on tourism and environmental sustainability will also be jointly organized. The MoU aims to develop a skilled workforce for the tourism and hospitality sectors, contributing to sustainable development goals in Pakistan.
