LAHORE –: The mystery surrounding the blind murder of 25-year-old citizen Nauman in Lahore’s Batapur area has finally come to an end, as police have arrested five suspects involved in the brutal killing.

According to officials, DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza had taken prompt notice of the high-profile case and issued immediate orders for the arrest of the culprits. Acting on his directions, Incharge Investigation Batapur Police Station Muhammad Siddiq, along with his team, carried out a successful operation and apprehended the suspects.
Among those arrested is the main accused and his four accomplices. Initial investigations reveal that the motive behind the murder was a dispute over a drug-related transaction between the deceased and the suspects.
The investigation team disclosed that the accused had lured Nauman to their dera (hideout) following a heated argument. Once there, the suspects strangled him to death using a wooden stick pressed against his neck. After committing the crime, they dumped the body and fled the scene.
The police utilized modern technology and human intelligence to track and arrest the culprits.
DIG Investigation Zeeshan Raza affirmed that the suspects are now in custody and a strong case challan will be prepared to ensure they receive exemplary punishment. He vowed that criminal elements will be dealt with an iron hand.
Meanwhile, SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed has announced commendation certificates for the police team in recognition of their swift and efficient work in solving the case.
