LAHORE – Global SMEs Business Home (Switzerland) has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering Pakistan’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by connecting them with global markets, especially in Europe, through sustainable strategies, market linkages, and international collaborations.
This pledge came during the Pakistan Global Business Summit 2025 held at a local hotel in Lahore, jointly organized by Global SMEs Business Home (Switzerland), the Pakistan Industrial Sewing Machines Importers and Dealers Association (PISMIDA), and other allied stakeholders. The event was presided over by Anis Khan, President of the global organization.
Prominent attendees included Pakistan Country Head Amina Ahmed Raza, Advisor Saqib Majeed Sheikh, PISMIDA Vice Chairman Muhammad Yaseen, Lahore Chamber Vice President Shahid Nazir Chaudhry, Dr. Ayazuddin of PREGMIA, Chairman Forward Sports Khawaja Masood Akhtar, Syed Salman and Asif Khan from LCCI, LISMA Chairman Syed Safeer Abbas, and Pakistan-Romania Business Council Chairman Khawaja Faik. A special guest, Turkiye’s Commercial Attaché Mr. Nurettin Daymar, participated on PISMIDA’s invitation.
The summit focused on guiding Pakistani SMEs toward global competitiveness through access to verified buyers, export market research, innovation, visa facilitation, and collaboration with chambers of commerce. Discussions also revolved around aligning production with international standards and leveraging regulatory support to boost exports.
President Anis Khan underlined the organization’s aim to uplift SMEs by aligning them with advanced technologies and changing international trends. He emphasized that improving product quality and output can help Pakistani products successfully penetrate global markets. He further revealed plans to organize one-on-one meetings between Pakistani manufacturers and international business counterparts, enabling stronger bilateral ties and growth avenues for local enterprises.
Country Head Amina Ahmed Raza reiterated that their initiatives are focused solely on opening development doors for Pakistan’s SME sector.
Vice Chairman of PISMIDA Muhammad Yaseen highlighted that their association works closely with industries including leather, footwear, garments, textiles, and sports goods. He stressed that a strong SME sector could help Pakistan overcome its reliance on foreign loans.
Representing Turkiye, Commercial Attaché Mr. Nurettin Daymar assured full support in building joint ventures between Pakistani and Turkish companies. He also welcomed initiatives for formal Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to strengthen bilateral trade.
Lahore Chamber Vice President Shahid Nazir Chaudhry appreciated the efforts of Global SMEs Business Home, stating that their partnership could unlock unprecedented opportunities for growth and expansion in Pakistan’s SME landscape.
