LAHORE: The Lahore Police have intensified its operations against gangs involved in heinous crimes resulting in the arrest of over 3,225 gang members belonging to 1,459 different criminal groups, so far, this year.

According to a statement issued by the spokesman Lahore Police, recoveries worth over Rs. 863.6 million have been made from the arrested individuals. The recovered items include 13 cars, 2,612 motorcycles, 98 other vehicles, 229 tolas of gold, 3,390 mobile phones and 42 laptops, he said.
In this regard, Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana added that robust actions were underway against gangs involved in heinous crimes. The recovered items were being returned to their rightful owners through a legal procedure.
The CCPO directed the police to accelerate intelligence-based operations and ensure effective prosecution of heinous crime cases. He also stressed the importance of collaboration with the Public Prosecution Department to ensure timely punishments for those involved in organized criminal activities.
