LAHORE: On the special directives of Chief Minister Punjab, a dignified ceremony was organized to honor the sanitation workers of the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC), recognizing their exemplary efforts in maintaining cleanliness during Eid-ul-Adha. In acknowledgment of their valuable services, each sanitation worker was awarded a cheque of PKR 10,000.

Provincial Minister for Sports and Labour, Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar along with Provincial Minister for Local Government Zeeshan Rafiq partipeated while, Chairman LWMC Bilal Zulfiqar and Assistant Commissioner Iqbal Town Khawaja Umair were also present on the occasion.
In his address, Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar stated that the cleanliness drive during Eid-ul-Adha was treated as a mission. Our sanitation workers performed their duties with commendable dedication, passion, and responsibility. Their tireless services are a true reflection of the vision of Chief Minister Punjab.
He added that improving the sanitation system is part of the Punjab Government’s long-term policy. Through the joint efforts of LWMC, local government institutions, and the district administration, the goal of a clean and healthy environment for citizens is becoming a reality.
Acknowledging Minister Zeeshan Rafiq’s leadership, Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar appreciated his effective oversight during the Eid cleanliness operations, stating that Minister Zeeshan’s hands-on supervision transformed a challenge into a successful public service initiative.
He further emphasized that Workers, especially those serving in the sanitation sector, are our real national heroes. The Punjab Government is committed to recognizing their efforts and ensuring dignity, rights, and financial support for the labor force.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, cheques of PKR 10,000 were distributed among the sanitation workers — a token of practical appreciation for their unwavering commitment and service.
