LAHORE: Secretary Price Control and Commodities Management Department Punjab Dr Ehsan Bhutta has said that sahulat bazars will be established at every Tehsil across the Province from next year.

Under CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz initiative, essential commodities at cheap rates with good quality will be available throughout the year. He was addressing during his visit at newly shifted/ established fruits and vegetable market Sheikhupura. Deputy Commissioner Sheikhupura Shahid Marth, DG PAMRA Tariq Basra, Director E&M Shami, GM Sahulat Bazar Authority Saddam and concerned officers including Secretary Market Committee were present at this occasion.
Dr Ehsan Bhutta suad that 13 new Sahulat bazars are in progress and will be completed by August InshaAllah by Sahulat Bazar Authority.
The issue of shifting of F&V Markets from city area to newly notified area has been resolved.
All shops have been shifted. First auction held yesterday and will continue every day at new market. Market committee and municipal committee have deployed their staff to address the issues of vendors.Police duty also deployed for security.
The Secretary checked all shops, boli of different fruits/ vegetables etc and directed to provide drinking water, security, lighting at night etc for facilitation of traders.
While listening to issues raised by traders/ arties DC Sheikhupra intimated that development work will start as neelami of shops is in process and its revenue will be spent on necessary development of missing facilities as other facilities have been provided by Market Committee under PAMRA.
After visit of Mandi the Secretary visited under construction Sahulat bazar in Sharqpur.GM SBA Saddam and engineers briefed about progress.The Secretary directed to complete work within July soas to start functioning this model/ sahulat bazar for benefit and facilitation of general public of the area.
