LAHORE: A grand Eid Milan Party was organized at the Naulakha Presbyterian Church of Pakistan to promote interfaith harmony and mutual understanding among different religious communities. The event was hosted by Reverend Dr. Majid Abel, with Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs, Ramesh Singh Arora, serving as the chief guest. The primary aim of the gathering was to foster social harmony, brotherhood, and interfaith dialogue. Participants from diverse faiths, sects, social organizations, and government institutions came together to celebrate the spirit of Eid. The event exemplified unity, inclusiveness, and religious harmony, as all attendees shared the joy of Eid in a warm and respectful environment. Welcoming the guests, Reverend Dr. Majid Abel stated that the Naulakha Presbyterian Church of Pakistan has always stood for love, tolerance, and mutual respect among all religions. We must collectively build a society where there is no discrimination based on color, race, or religion.
In his address, Minister Ramesh Singh Arora emphasized the Punjab government’s commitment to promoting interfaith harmony, saying that Promoting interfaith peace and harmony is among the top priorities of the Punjab Government. We aim to ensure that people of all faiths feel safe and respected. The efforts of Naulakha Presbyterian Church, particularly in strengthening interfaith bonds, are truly commendable. Such initiatives play a vital role in making Pakistan a cradle of peace and love.
Chairman Kul masalik board Molana Asim Makhdoon also paid tribute to the services of Majeed Abel and said that every festival to celebrated at No Lakha church was a great example of interfaith harmony. Other notable speakers included Javed William (Head of Faces of Pakistan), Mufti Ashiq Hussain, Professor Syed Mahmood Ghaznavi, Liaqat Baloch and Ramzan Sialvi (Khateeb of Data Darbar). They highlighted the importance of religious tolerance, unity, and mutual respect, while also paying tribute to Reverend Dr. Majid Abel’s longstanding efforts in promoting interfaith harmony. The event concluded with special prayers for peace, development, prosperity, and religious harmony in Pakistan.
