LAHORE, February 07: Chairman of the United Interfaith Organizations (UIO), Rev. Dr. Majid Abel, has strongly condemned in the harshest words the tragic suicide bombing at an Imam Bargah in Islamabad. He stated that this incident is not only an attack on humanity but also a direct assault on the fundamental teachings of all religions. Rev. Dr. Majid Abel expressed deep sorrow and grief over the unfortunate suicide attack at the place of worship.

On behalf of the United Interfaith Organizations, including Secretary General Javaid William, Treasurer Maulana Asim Makhdoom, Executive Board Members, Dr. Kalyan Singh, Professor Dr. Masood Ahmed, and Amaranth Randhawa, he extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs and prayed for the swift recovery of those injured. He emphasized that an attack on a place of worship is a blatant violation of our shared moral values, and all religions uphold the sanctity and dignity of human life above all. The Chairman of UIO unequivocally condemned this heinous act of terrorism and urged the Government of Pakistan to take immediate and decisive action against those responsible. He further demanded that effective security measures be strengthened across the country to ensure the protection of all religious communities. Rev. Dr. Majid Abel reaffirmed that the United Interfaith Organizations remain firmly committed to promoting interfaith harmony, peace, and coexistence. He noted that such incidents are conspiracies aimed at spreading hatred in society and must be defeated at every level.
