LAHORE(Web Desk) : All-rounder Mohammad Nawaz starred for Pakistan on Sunday, taking five wickets as the Green Shirts completed a 3-0 whitewash over Australia in the three-match T20I series at Gaddafi Stadium.
Batting first, Pakistan posted 207 runs — their highest T20I total against Australia — powered by half-centuries from Saim Ayub (56) and Babar Azam, who remained unbeaten on 50. Fakhar Zaman replaced Sahibzada Farhaan as an opener alongside Ayub after Farhaan’s poor show in the first two matches.
Shadab Khan added a blistering 46 off just 19 balls, smashing five towering sixes, while captain Salman Ali Agha managed only five runs after his previous match’s 76. Pakistan finished their innings at 207 for six.
For Australia, Cooper Connolly took one wicket for 47 runs in four overs, and Ben Dwarshuis claimed two wickets.
Pakistan had already sealed the series with a dominant 90-run win in Saturday’s second T20I, building on their historic opening-match victory — their first T20I win over Australia in more than seven years — in which Saim Ayub excelled with both bat and ball.
The series underlines Pakistan’s growing supremacy over Australia in the shortest format. The two teams had previously played a three-match Test and ODI series in 2022, followed by a solitary T20I win for Pakistan at Gaddafi Stadium, and Australia also competed in three Champions Trophy matches in Pakistan in 2025.
