During the operation, PRA teams inspected eight aesthetic and beauty clinics located in upscale areas of Lahore and seized their business records for further review. Authorities also checked the sales and tax records of two marquees and four fast-food outlets.
The action was taken over the non-use of the Electronic Invoice Management System (EIMS) and discrepancies found in sales documentation. The spokesperson emphasized that failure to pay applicable service taxes is a punishable offense under the law.
Consumers were urged to always obtain an e-bill after making payments and to verify it through the PRA’s official mobile application to ensure transparency and compliance.
