BARKHAN — Provincial Minister Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran has dismissed reports of any personal (differences) with Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, saying his version is rooted solely in the rights and dignity of his people and areas.

In a clarificatory statement, Khetran said he would not accept any move to include parts of his district in the proposed Qadirabad district, stressing that administrative divisions should reflect public aspirations and ground realities rather than being imposed.
He also called for any new division to be named “Rakhni Division,” arguing that all existing divisions in Balochistan are named after their respective regions. Naming it “Koh-e-Suleman Division,” he said, would be unjust to the Khetran tribe and their historical identity.
Khetran added that while he could have gained personally by compromising on his stance, he chose not to do so, reaffirming that his struggle is solely for the legitimate rights, recognition, and respect of his people. He concluded by saying he believes in principled politics and will not negotiate on the dignity and identity of the Khetran community.
