LAHORE, Jan 7: As many as 66 constables of the Lahore police have been promoted to the rank of head constable following the approval of the Departmental Promotion Board.

The promotions were approved at a meeting of the Departmental Promotion Board, chaired by DIG (Administration) Imran Kishore. SSP (Discipline) Atif Nazir and SP (Headquarters) Munazza Karamat were among the members of the board.
Among the promotes, 61 belonged to Category C-I and five to Category C-II. They are serving in operations, investigation, the security division and other units. In Category C-I, Dil Nawaz Amin, Shehzad Ali, Asghar Ali, Hassan Atta, Muhammad Khawar, Khalid Parvez, Muhammad Mubashir and Khalid Mohsin were promoted, while Ahmed Khan, Muhammad Ilyas, Liaquat and Ahmed Hassan were among those promoted in Category C-II.
Capital City Police Officer Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana congratulated the promoted officials and extended his best wishes. He urged them to perform their duties with renewed zeal, commitment and professionalism and to meet the challenges of their new ranks with a strong sense of responsibility.
The CCPO said the promoted personnel would play an effective role in ensuring the timely provision of justice to the citizens. He added that measures to encourage officers and personnel demonstrating outstanding performance would continue at all levels.
The promoted officials expressed their gratitude and pledged to further improve their professional performance.
