LAHORE: Former Member of the Provincial Assembly and founding member of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Dr. Ziaullah Bangash, has passed away, marking the end of an important chapter in the party’s history.

Funeral prayers for Dr. Ziaullah Bangash were offered at Gol Bagh, Shad Bagh, and were led by his son, Armaghan Bangash. A large number of Pakistan Peoples Party leaders, workers, and supporters attended the funeral.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Punjab PPP President Raja Pervez Ashraf expressed deep sorrow and grief over his demise, paying tribute to his long-standing political services and commitment to the party.
According to the family, prayers for the deceased will be held on Wednesday, January 7, between noon and afternoon at the residence of his son, senior journalist Faizan Bangash, located in Shad Bagh.
Prominent political, social, and community figures who attended or are expected to attend the funeral and condolence gatherings include Chaudhry Aslam Gul, Usman Malik, Haji Aziz-ur-Rehman Chan, Asif Hashmi, Faisal Mir, Raja Zulqarnain Advocate, Dr. Asad Ashraf, Chaudhry Shahbaz, Muhammad Mehdi, Zahid Zulfiqar, Naseer Ahmed, Anar Naseer Butt, Arif Khan, Farrukh Marghub Siddiqui, Khalid Butt, Sadaqat Sherwani, Shakeel Mir Channi, Ahsan Rizvi, Waqar Malik, Shahida Jabeen, Waqas Mansha Prince, Javed Akhtar, Sohail Malik, Anjum Butt, Wajid Shah, Agha Taqi, Gulrez Butt, Basharat Siddiqui, Rao Shujaat, Athar Shah, Sheikh Roshan, Zeeshan Shami, Naseem Sabir, Mudassar Shakir, and many others.
A large number of people from different walks of life and members of the local community also participated to pay their last respects.
