KARACHI (Web Desk) — Tragedy struck Korangi as a young boy lost his life after falling into an open manhole due to negligence by local authorities. The incident occurred in Mehran Town, Sector 6G.
Rescue officials identified the child as Dilbar Ali. According to authorities, he was playing near his home when he slipped and fell into the uncovered manhole. Neighbors acted quickly to pull the boy out, but unfortunately, he could not be saved.
The rescue team later transferred the child’s body to Jinnah Hospital for formalities and post-mortem procedures. This incident highlights growing concerns over public safety and negligence in the city, with open manholes posing a serious hazard to residents, especially children.
