In line with the vision of the chief minister Punjab, DIG Investigation Lahore Syed Zeeshan Raza held an open court at Lahore Fort Market to directly hear public complaints and ensure prompt redressal of issues related to police investigations.

Senior police officers, including ADIG Investigation Rizwan Saeed, SDPO Chohang Fazal Rehman Safi, DSP Investigations, in-charge investigation officers, and investigation staff, were present on the occasion. A large number of citizens, including overseas Pakistanis, participated in the open court and presented their grievances.
Most of the complaints pertained to delays and alleged irregularities in the investigation of property dispute cases. DIG Investigation listened to the citizens patiently and issued on-the-spot instructions to concerned officers for immediate resolution of genuine complaints.
Taking a strict stance on professional standards, DIG Syed Zeeshan Raza reprimanded several investigation officers over poor performance and issued show-cause notices, making it clear that no compromise on merit would be tolerated. He directed all investigation officers to conclude cases strictly on merit and in accordance with the law.
The DIG emphasized that prompt redressal of public complaints related to investigations would be ensured, adding that protection of life and property of citizens remains the top priority of the investigation police. He said the purpose of holding open courts is to strengthen communication between the public and police and to build public trust.
DIG Syed Zeeshan Raza further stated that timely and fair justice is essential for maintaining law and order. He instructed officers to deal with visiting citizens politely and to further improve their professional performance, reiterating that his office doors remain open at all times for the resolution of public issues.
