ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday granted 10-day transit bail to YouTuber Rajab Butt and TikToker Nadeem Naniwala, shielding them from arrest during this period and allowing them to approach relevant courts to pursue their legal remedies.

The hearing was conducted by Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas, who instructed the two social media personalities to appear before the concerned courts in Karachi within 10 days. Their counsel had sought 15 days of transit bail to facilitate their travel and court appearances, but the bench approved a shorter duration.
Rajab Butt recently arrived in Islamabad after the UK Home Department cancelled his visa, citing his failure to disclose ongoing legal cases in Pakistan. According to sources, the concealment violated UK immigration rules, leading to the immediate cancellation of his visa. The UK Home Office also issued a written order in this regard, referring to his nondisclosure of a case registered in Pakistan.
Multiple cases are currently pending against Butt and Naniwala, including allegations related to gambling applications and cybercrime. Some of these cases were reportedly registered while they were abroad. Prior to their return, both had also secured protective bail.
The IHC barred law enforcement agencies from arresting the accused during the transit bail period and directed authorities to comply strictly with the court’s order. The duo is now expected to appear before the relevant Karachi courts within the stipulated time to address the pending legal proceedings.
