LAHORE, Nov 28 (News Desk): A fire broke out at the Lahore Railway Station reservation office on Friday afternoon, causing panic among passengers and staff.
According to Pakistan Railways (PR) sources, the blaze erupted at a booking counter, operated by a private company. As soon as the fire was reported, Rescue 1122 teams and fire brigade vehicles rushed to the scene and began firefighting operations.
The rescue personnel managed to bring the fire under control within half an hour, preventing it from spreading to other parts of the reservation office. No casualties were reported till the filing of this report.
Railway authorities have initiated an inquiry to determine the cause of the fire and assess the damage. Normal operations at the station resumed shortly after the incident.
