LAHORE: Air pollution and smog has not yet decreased in Punjab including Lahore. The Air Quality Index has reached 500 in Kasur and 400 in Lahore.

According to the global website, Lahore is the second most polluted city in the world with AQI 387 and Karachi is sixth with 209 particulate matter meters. According to the website of the Punjab Environment Department, this morning Kasur has been declared the most polluted city in Punjab with 500 air particulate matter meters. On the other hand, AQI 365 has been recorded in Gujranwala and 372 in Faisalabad. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted an increase in the intensity of cold. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is cold and dry in most parts of the country, while it is likely to be very cold in the morning and night in the northern areas. Light fog is likely to fall at a few places in the plains of Punjab at night. The weather has been dry and cold in most parts of the country during the past 24 hours.
