LAHORE, November 17 — The Investigation Police of Lahore continued a strict internal accountability drive, with four police employees dismissed from service and others facing various penalties for corruption, poor investigation, and abuse of authority.
SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed, while presiding over hearings in his office ‘Ardal Room’, conducted proceedings on 41 show-cause notices.

In addition to the dismissals, eight police officers received service termination, and eight others were handed severe punishments after charges were proven.
This year alone, 1,132 show-cause notices have been heard in Ardal Rooms, leading to 23 officers and personnel being dismissed, 23 demoted, 276 given service terminations, while other staff faced varying disciplinary actions.
SSP Naveed emphasized that the police department has an effective self-accountability mechanism, noting that corruption and abuse of authority will be met with strict action. “The purpose of Ardal Room is to maintain a culture of self-accountability,” he said, highlighting the importance of integrity and diligence within the force.
He added, “Hardworking, capable, and honest police employees are the true assets of our department, and their dedication will always be recognized and valued.”
