LAHORE, November 13: Capital City Police Officer Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana presided over a meeting at his office to review the performance of Civil Lines and City Divisions.

During the meeting, the CCPO issued directions for preparing a comprehensive security plan to ensure foolproof arrangements for Sikh pilgrims, foreign visitors and the upcoming Tri-Nation T20 Cricket Series between Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
The CCPO ordered an intensified crackdown against drug peddlers, emphasizing strict action to dismantle networks involved in the sale of ice and other narcotics. He further instructed that operations against those engaged in dala culture and the public display of firearms be continued without interruption.
The meeting also reviewed progress on the recovery of illegal weapons. The CCPO directed officers to accelerate operations in this regard and take immediate action against violations of firearm licensing rules and regulations.
Highlighting the need for effective policing, the CCPO stressed adopting a robust strategy to curb incidents of theft and burglary in hotspot areas. He instructed that, in collaboration with local administrations, residential localities should ensure the deployment of security guards, installation of CCTV cameras and placement of barriers to enhance security. He also underscored the importance of public awareness regarding self-security measures.
Meanwhile, CCPO Lahore said that promoting community policing would contribute significantly to maintaining peace and public order. He directed the Investigation Wing to conclude pending cases within the stipulated time frame and further improve the quality of investigation to ensure timely justice for the citizens.
