LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana presided over a meeting regarding the repatriation of illegal Afghan nationals at his office on Saturday. The meeting reviewed the progress made so far on the ongoing repatriation process.

The CCPO directed divisional SPs to lead raids for the arrest of illegally residing Afghan nationals and to accelerate the repatriation process in line with government directives.
He instructed police officers to maintain close coordination with the management of commercial centres to ensure the repatriation of foreign Afghan nationals. He also ordered strict enforcement of the Tenancy Act and legal action against those renting out properties or shops to illegal residents.
The CCPO further directed that mosque platforms be effectively used to raise public awareness, and strict action be taken against violations of the Loudspeaker Act. He also urged police officers to strengthen coordination with peace committees and take prompt action against the dissemination of hate material.
Bilal Siddique Kamyana added that important cases were being disposed of in coordination with public prosecution dept.
DIG (Admin) Imran Kishwar, DIG (Investigation) Zeeshan Raza, DIG (Operations) Faisal Kamran, SSP (Investigation) Muhammad Naveed, SP Security Abdul Wahab and divisional SPs attended the meeting.
