LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Law Punjab Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan held an important meeting with Secretary Law Muhammad Asif Bilal Lodhi. The meeting discussed in detail the overall law and order situation in the province, the ongoing legislative process, and the approval of new bills by the Punjab Assembly.

During the meeting, the Secretary Law briefed the Provincial Minister that 16 Acts have so far been passed by the Punjab Assembly, while 12 different bills have also been successfully approved.
Provincial Minister Rana Iqbal emphasized that the Punjab Government is fully committed to upholding the writ of the state and the supremacy of law at all costs. “No individual or group is above the law,” he asserted.
The Minister directed that the Loudspeaker Act must be strictly enforced across the province, the campaign against illegal weapons should be intensified and made more effective, a zero-tolerance policy should be adopted against hate speeches and sectarian content, Court orders must be implemented promptly at all administrative levels, Coordination between Police and Prosecution Departments should be strengthened for expeditious case disposal and Legal reforms should be updated in line with modern needs to ensure speedy justice for the public.
Rana Iqbal further stated that under the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the government is taking practical steps to ensure rule of law and the protection of life and property of citizens. He instructed the Law Department to finalize all pending bills, amendments, and drafts at the earliest to make the legislative process faster, transparent, and efficient.
