LAHORE, October 26 (Dunya News) – The Punjab government has announced revised winter timings for all public schools across the province, effective from October 27, 2025, to April 15, 2026. According to the notification, all schools will now begin at 8:45 AM.

Under the new schedule, single-shift schools will function from 8:45 AM to 1:30 PM between Monday and Thursday, while Fridays will have shorter hours, ending at 12:30 PM.
For double-shift schools, the first shift will operate from 8:45 AM to 1:30 PM, and the second shift from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. On Fridays, the morning shift will run from 8:45 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by the afternoon shift from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The teachers’ working hours have also been revised. From Monday to Thursday, teachers will be on duty from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, while on Fridays, they will work until 12:30 PM. In double-shift schools, teachers assigned to the second shift will work from 12:45 PM to 4:00 PM.
Additionally, every alternate Saturday, teachers will participate in school activities from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon.
Officials said the decision was made to help students and teachers cope with the chilly mornings during the winter season and maintain a comfortable learning environment across Punjab’s schools.
