In crucial talks held in Istanbul, Pakistan’s delegation firmly conveyed its final position to the Afghan Taliban delegation.
According to security sources, Pakistan categorically stated that it rejects any form of patronage or sheltering of terrorists by the Afghan Taliban.

The Pakistani side stressed that only concrete and credible measures to eliminate such support could lead to progress, while the Taliban’s arguments were deemed illogical and detached from realities on the ground.
Officials noted that Pakistan suspects the Taliban are following an agenda contrary to the stability and interests of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the wider region.
Sources further said that the continuation and success of the dialogue will depend on the Afghan Taliban’s willingness to adopt a positive and cooperative approach.
