LAHORE: (October 22, 2025) A high-level meeting of the District Coordination Committee (DCC) Kasur was held today in the Committee Room of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, under the chairmanship of Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Provincial Minister for Law / Convener DCC Kasur.

The meeting was attended by MNA Malik Rasheed Ahmad Khan, MNA Sheikh Saad Waseem, MPAs Chaudhry Muhammad Ilyas Khan, Chaudhry Mahmood Anwar, Muhammad Naeem Safdar Ansari, and Chaudhry Ahsan Raza Khan, along with heads of all district departments.
Deputy Commissioner Kasur, Imran Ali, briefed the committee on the overall performance of the district administration, ongoing development projects, and governance initiatives.
District Police Officer (DPO) Kasur presented a detailed report on the law and order situation, crime prevention measures, and public safety efforts. Chief Executive Officer (Health) shared updates on healthcare facilities, hospital performance, vaccination campaigns, and maternal and child health programs. Similarly, CEO (Education) briefed the meeting on educational improvements, school development, teacher attendance, and quality enhancement initiatives.
A detailed review was also conducted on the progress of ongoing development schemes under the “Saraken Bahal – Punjab Khushhal Program” (Roads Rehabilitation & Prosperous Punjab Initiative). XEN Highways and Deputy Director (Development) presented updates on the status of road and infrastructure projects across the district.
Addressing the meeting, Provincial Minister Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan said that, under the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the provincial government is taking effective steps to promote good governance, stability, and public welfare across the province. He directed that all development schemes must be completed within the stipulated timelines. Coordination among departments should be further strengthened for better service delivery while the lists of ongoing schemes be shared with respective MPAs. He further directed that road construction and repair projects must be finalized in consultation with local MPAs. He also directed to XEN Highway that patchwork of Kot Radha Kishan Road must be completed within 15 days.
The Provincial Minister instructed the DPO Kasur to ensure the rule of law while safeguarding citizens’ fundamental rights and emphasized that no innocent person should be arrested based on religious or social affiliations.
He also directed XEN LESCO to take strict action against electricity theft but ensure that power supply to the general public remains unaffected. Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan further instructed the DSP (Traffic) to ensure the strict enforcement of traffic laws and maintain smooth vehicular flow across the district. He reaffirmed that the District Coordination Committee (DCC) will continue to monitor all departments to promote transparent governance, efficient service delivery, and sustainable development. He added that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the province is progressing toward stability and prosperity. The members of the committee appreciated the performance of the district administration in flood-affected areas and expressed satisfaction with the rescue and relief operations. The meeting was also attended by representatives from Health, SNGPL, LWMC, Irrigation, Rescue 1122, Revenue, WAPDA, Agriculture, Environment, Social Welfare, and other departments, along with Assistant Commissioners of Kasur, Chunian, Pattoki, and Kot Radha Kishan.
