LAHORE (October 21, 2025): Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar has inaugurated the 1st Punjab Padel Championship at an impressive opening ceremony held at the Mega Arena Bedian, Phase 6, DHA on Monday evening.
Sports Coordinator Malik Anoosh Khokhar, President Punjab Padel Association Mansoor Ali Khan, Vice President Barrister Bilal Ashraf, General Secretary Fahad Elahi and officials of Punjab Padel Association also participated in the grand opening ceremony.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar, while talking to media on this occasion, said that Pakistan has plenty of talent in this game and we are quite upbeat that our youth will win laurels in international padel competitions in future. “Punjab Sports Department is taking effective measures for the promotion of all traditional sports across the province”.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar further said that the game of Padel tennis is gaining rapid popularity all over the world. “Punjab Sports Department will be constructing padel tennis courts in Lahore, Multan and Sialkot”.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that more than 66 teams are participating in the tournament. “Prizes worth more than 26 lakh rupees will be distributed among the top performing players in the Punjab Padel Championship”.
President Punjab Pedal Association Mansoor Ali Khan, on this occasion, said that it is a major development that around 35 padel clubs have been established in Lahore. “Punjab Pedal Association will also organize padel tournaments in other cities in near future”.
