SSP Investigation Lahore Muhammad Naveed held an open court at his office, attended by a large number of citizens along with the In-charge Complaint Cell.
During the session, citizens individually presented their complaints to the SSP, who listened carefully and issued immediate instructions to concerned officers for swift redressal. In several cases, SSP Naveed personally called the relevant officers on the spot to ensure quick action.
The SSP also reprimanded several investigation in-charges over poor investigation practices and issued show-cause notices to those found negligent. He strictly directed all investigation officers to dispose of cases on merit and ensure fair and transparent inquiries.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Muhammad Naveed said that the purpose of these open courts is to maintain a direct connection between the police and the public. He emphasized that timely justice and the rule of law are being ensured, as peace and order can only prevail when citizens receive swift justice.
He reiterated that addressing public complaints regarding investigations is a top priority, and that the doors of his office are always open for the public. “Providing protection and justice on merit is our foremost duty,” he said, adding that officers must treat visitors courteously and continue to improve their performance.
