Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan has achieved a major milestone by winning the Best Actor Filmfare Award for the first time in his 25-year-long career.
According to Indian media, the 70th Filmfare Awards ceremony took place on Sunday, where Abhishek received the honor for his powerful performance in the 2024 film “I Want To Talk.”
This marks his first Best Actor Filmfare win since making his Bollywood debut in 2000 with Refugee. The actor became emotional as he accepted the award, expressing heartfelt gratitude to his family — especially his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, daughter Aaradhya, and his parents.
In his acceptance speech, Abhishek said, “This year marks 25 years of my film journey, and I can’t count how many times I’ve rehearsed this speech. Winning this award has always been my dream. I am truly grateful to receive it in front of my family — this moment is incredibly special.”
He went on to thank his fellow actors, directors, and producers for their trust and support throughout his career. Reflecting on his journey, he added, “These 25 years haven’t been easy, but they’ve been deeply fulfilling and worth every challenge.”
Abhishek concluded his speech with a heartfelt note to his wife and daughter: “Thank you, Aishwarya and Aaradhya, for always standing by me and giving me the freedom to follow my dreams.”
