
India has set a target of 248 runs for Pakistan in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 match at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
Opening batters Pratika Rawal and Smriti Mandhana contributed 31 and 23 runs respectively, while Harleen Deol’s impressive innings of 46 runs helped India reach a total of 247 runs.

For Pakistan, Diana Baig took four wickets, with Sadia Iqbal and Fatima Sana claiming two wickets each. Rameen Shamim and Nashra Sandhu took one wicket apiece.
Pakistan won the toss and opted to bowl first against India on Sunday. Notably, both captains did not shake hands during the toss.
India began their tournament on a strong note, defeating Sri Lanka by 59 runs in their opening match. Batting first, India posted 269/8, with notable performances from Pratika Rawal (37), Harleen Deol (48), Deepti Sharma (53), and Amanjot Kaur (57). Inoka Ranaweera starred for Sri Lanka, taking four wickets.
Although rain reduced the match to 47 overs, India’s disciplined bowling helped dismiss Sri Lanka for 211 runs, securing a 59-run victory via the DLS method under captain Harmanpreet Kaur.
Meanwhile, Pakistan suffered a seven-wicket defeat against Bangladesh in their previous match. The Women in Green struggled with the bat, being bowled out for just 129 runs. Bangladesh’s Nigar Sultana led the team to victory, supported by Rubya Haider’s unbeaten fifty.
