LAHORE, October 1 – Muhammad Moinuddin Riaz has been formally appointed as the new Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly. The appointment was confirmed through a notification issued by Acting Speaker Malik Zaheer Iqbal Chanar.

The notification was handed over in a ceremony attended by senior members of the opposition, including Farrukh Javed Moon, Chief Whip PTI Rana Shehbaz, Parliamentary Leader Ali Imtiaz Waraich, Shoaib Ameer, and other MPAs.
The development marks an important shift in the provincial legislature as the opposition reorganizes under new leadership to play a stronger role in the Assembly.
