MULTAN (News Desk) – A verdict in fake degree case of Awami Raj Party chief Jamshed Ahmed Dasti has been announced.
Multan district and session court has sentenced Jamshed Dasti for 17-year after a case was filed against him.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) prosecutor stated that he contested 2008 election on BA degree from a madrassa, which has no record with the Higher Education Commission.
The prosecution stated that Dasti violated Articles 62, 63 and should be disqualified for concealing the truth.
It was said he contested the election from NA-178 constituency in Muzaffargarh and submitted his madrasa degree along with his nomination papers.
The court reserved the verdict after hearing the arguments of the lawyers and later sentenced him to 17 years in prison.
