He emphasized that ensuring foolproof security for all foreign nationals, particularly Chinese citizens, is among the Lahore police’s top responsibilities.
The CCPO ordered a crackdown on organized beggar mafias, noting that their presence on major roads poses a constant security threat. “Beggars must not be allowed to loiter at intersections—immediate action must be taken,” he stressed.
Kamyana also directed SP Civil Lines (Operations) to launch action against illegal gambling dens and intensify efforts to curb social crimes. He ordered strict enforcement of security SOPs in markets and commercial centers.
Highlighting the menace of drug trafficking, he instructed intensified operations to eliminate drug dealers from the city. He further directed police officers to ensure timely submission of challans with the prosecution department’s support, saying that better investigation standards are key to providing quick relief to citizens.
“There should be no complaints regarding aerial firing, one-wheeling, or kite flying,” he warned, while also calling for strict action against snatching, robbery, and motorcycle theft.
Kamyana announced that he would personally monitor the process of addressing public complaints and urged supervisory officers to maintain constant communication with field staff, stressing that their feedback is vital for effective operational planning.
The meeting was attended by DIG (Admin) Imran Kishwar, DIG (Investigation) Zeeshan Raza, DIG (Operations) Faisal Kamran, SSP (Investigation) Muhammad Naveed, SSP (VVIP Security) Tariq Aziz, along with SPs, ASPs, Circle Officers, SHOs, and Investigation In-Charges of Civil Lines and City Divisions.
Do you want me to make the headline shorter for a newspaper style (e.g., “CCPO Lahore orders action against beggar mafias, drug dealers”) or keep the detailed version above that highlights multiple directives?
