SHEIKHUPURA – The silver jubilee celebration of Punjabi monthly magazine “Panchi International” has been postponed due to the recent floods across Punjab.

Chief Executive of the magazine, poet and writer Javed Panchi, said the event was originally planned for September 3, 2025, at Tehsil Council Hall Sheikhupura. However, keeping in view the heavy losses suffered by the Punjabi people in the floods, the program has been delayed.
Speaking to media, Javed Panchi said that Panchi International has been publishing continuously since January 1, 2000, promoting Punjabi language, literature, culture, Sufi poetry, and the message of Punjabi heroes despite difficult circumstances.
He said a large number of Punjabi writers and readers were expected to attend the silver jubilee, but under the current situation, the priority is to stand with the flood-affected people.
Criticizing India, Javed Panchi said that releasing large amounts of water into Punjab’s rivers—Sutlej, Ravi, and Chenab—was an “unfair act,” but stressed that Pakistanis are not afraid of such tactics.
He assured that a new date for the silver jubilee celebration will be announced soon.
