On the Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz directions, Suthra Punjab teams and district officials worked around the clock to drain the water and scrub every corner of the shrine. The Darshan Deori and surrounding courtyards have been restored to their original shine, with authorities announcing that the gurdwara will reopen for Sikh pilgrims within the next three to four days.
Deputy Commissioner Nankana Sahib personally supervised the operation, ensuring the vast courtyard and inner sanctums were cleared and washed thoroughly.
The restoration comes after rescue teams had to ferry trapped Sikh pilgrims out of the shrine by motorboats when floodwaters suddenly engulfed the complex. What looked like a massive disaster has now turned into a remarkable turnaround, with the sacred site standing spotless once again—an image already going viral among the Sikh community worldwide.
