LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Minorities Affairs and President of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, visited the flood-affected areas of Narowal to review ongoing rescue and relief operations. During the visit, he met with affected families and inspected the facilities being provided by the government.

Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora personally took part in the rescue operation at Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib, where several local pilgrims had been trapped. Alongside Deputy Commissioner Narowal, Syed Hassan Raza, boarded a rescue boat and successfully evacuated 30 individuals to safety. He assured that the remaining affected people would soon be shifted to secure locations, adding that he himself was monitoring the relief efforts to ensure no shortcomings.
On the occasion, the Provincial Minister expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Chief Minister Punjab, Pakistan Army personnel, Ahsan Iqbal, Chief Secretary Punjab, Commissioner Gujranwala Division, Deputy Commissioner Narowal, Police, and Rescue institutions for their timely and effective actions, which ensured protective measures and helped save precious lives.
He reaffirmed that the Punjab Government is fully committed to relocating the victims to safe areas and providing them with all possible assistance. Rescue and relief activities are continuing under strict monitoring to ensure early rehabilitation of the affected people.
Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora also appealed to the Sikh community worldwide to remember the flood victims across Pakistan in their prayers and to stand in solidarity with them during this difficult time.
