LAHORE- hore Police have intensified their crackdown on gambling dens and online betting networks. As part of the ongoing campaign this year, 2,511 individuals involved in gambling activities have been arrested, while 644 criminal cases have been registered across various police stations.

According to a statement issued by the Lahore Police spokesperson, more than Rs. 12 million in stake money has also been recovered from the arrested suspects.
Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana has directed the continuation of strict action against those involved in gambling. He further instructed officers to closely monitor social media platforms and mobile applications promoting online gambling, particularly those targeting the youth.
The CCPO also directed Station House Officers (SHOs) to keep a close watch on individuals with prior records of gambling activities. He emphasized the need to seek assistance from IT experts in identifying online gambling operations and to coordinate with relevant departments for legal action against fraudulent apps promoting betting.
Reaffirming his commitment, Bilal Siddique Kamyana stated that those exploiting the younger generation through gambling will be made an example of. He reiterated that Lahore Police remains fully dedicated to eradicating crime from the city.
Citizens are urged to report suspicious activities or seek legal assistance by visiting their nearest police station or calling the police helpline at 15.
