LAHORE: Following the vision of the Chief Minister of Punjab, the Punjab Safe Cities Authority is actively engaged in humanitarian service projects.

The Safe City’s ‘Meri Pehchaan Center’ is playing a vital role in reuniting unclaimed bodies and mentally and physically challenged individuals with their families.
According to details, within the first seven months of its establishment, the center has completed the identification process of 1,240 unclaimed bodies, out of which over 800 have been handed over to their rightful heirs. Similarly, the ‘Meri Pehchaan Center’ is also assisting in identifying mentally and physically challenged unclaimed persons.The center has completed biometric data collection of 1,359 mentally and physically challenged individuals residing in various welfare institutions, and more than 736 of these individuals have been reunited with their families. The identification process of missing persons and unclaimed bodies continues through a biometric system linked with NADRA.The ‘Meri Pehchaan’ team regularly visits hospitals, dead houses, and old age homes across Punjab to maximize the identification of unclaimed individuals and bodies. Additionally, unclaimed persons and bodies are identified with the help of calls received on the emergency helpline 15.Citizens are urged to immediately report any information regarding unclaimed bodies or mentally and physically challenged missing persons to the emergency helpline 15 so that they can be reunited with their families as soon as possible.
