LAHORE – Secretary Price Control and Commodities Management Department Punjab, Dr. Ehsan Bhutta, has announced that the Punjab government is launching 15 Sahulat On-the-Go bazaars in Lahore to provide essential commodities at affordable prices to citizens.

He made these remarks while visiting the site of the upcoming bazaar at Gulshan Ravi. General Manager Sahulat Bazar Authority Roshan Zamir, Deputy Director Projects, Consultant Malik Maqsood Ahmad, and other officials were also present.
Dr. Bhutta said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman, the initiative aims to benefit daily wage earners and low-income households by creating a structured market system, improving accessibility to affordable goods, and curbing profiteering to provide relief amid rising inflation.
General Manager Roshan Zamir briefed that seven sites are already under development at Gulshan Ravi, Shadman, Madar-e-Millat Road Township, Faisal Town Kothey Pind, Manga Mandi Multan Road, and Raiwind near Sabzi Mandi.
Dr. Bhutta emphasized the importance of quality construction and directed the Sahulat Bazar Authority to ensure the use of high-standard materials, regular testing, and safety measures such as bamboo barriers around electricity poles and greenery to enhance the environment. He also instructed that quality be verified through material testing at established labs of UET.
