ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have announced that they will contest the upcoming by-elections together under a mutual support formula.

In a joint press conference, PPP leader Raja Pervez Ashraf and Federal Minister Hanif Abbasi of PML-N said the meeting was held on the instructions of their respective leaderships to finalize a strategy for the polls.
The leaders revealed that both parties agreed to back each other’s candidates in constituencies where one of them had secured the runner-up position in previous elections.
They emphasized that this cooperative approach is aimed at strengthening their political alliance and ensuring greater electoral success.
