LAHORE–: SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed chaired a meeting at the Investigation Headquarters, where divisional DSPs, investigation in-charges, and readers took part.
The SSP reviewed progress reports of pending and under-trial cases, directing officers to speed things up and submit challans to the courts without delay.
He emphasized that all available resources must be brought into play for the arrest of proclaimed offenders involved in serious crimes. Officers were also told to keep their police station records fully updated in line with Polcom requirements.
“Those involved in the sexual exploitation of women and children deserve no mercy,” said SSP Naveed, adding that challans must be prepared on the strength of evidence so that culprits face the full force of the law.
He made it clear that negligence in duty or misuse of authority will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The SSP also instructed officers to ensure timely redressal of citizens’ complaints and difficulties. “Every officer must play his part in providing immediate relief to the oppressed,” he stressed.
