Pakistani actress Mahira Khan recently recounted a terrifying personal experience tied to the ongoing heavy rainfall and flooding crisis in the country.
While traveling back from Nathia Gali, she admitted to being gripped by fear, constantly worried about being swept away by a flood or caught in a landslide.

In an Instagram story, she described feeling utterly powerless during the journey. Mahira shared that her mind was consumed with thoughts of what might happen if a sudden flash flood or landslide struck. She also reflected on the plight of thousands of flood victims enduring immense challenges due to the relentless rains.
In her emotional post, Mahira expressed a newfound understanding of the profound helplessness people face during natural calamities. She noted that individuals fight moment by moment to protect their lives, homes, and loved ones, yet often find themselves powerless against such forces.
Expressing deep grief over the catastrophic rainfall and its consequences, Mahira prayed for divine mercy and safety for those affected.
The country has been ravaged by unprecedented monsoon rains, with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan bearing the brunt as they reported over 400 deaths due to floods and landslides. In Sindh, the situation has worsened, particularly in Karachi, where heavy rains on August 19 triggered urban flooding, inundating homes across multiple areas.
