LAHORE: ecretary Human Rights & Minorities Affairs (HR&MA), Farid Ahmad Tarar, chaired a preparatory meeting of the National Task Force on Human Rights at his camp office.

The purpose of the meeting was to consolidate inputs, updates, and recommendations from provincial departments ahead of the Task Force’s next formal session.
During the meeting, Farid Tarar reviewed the implementation status of the directions issued in the 8th meeting of the National Task Force on Human Rights. He emphasized the importance of effective provincial coordination, inter-departmental collaboration, and the preparation of consolidated recommendations for the forthcoming national meeting. He directed all relevant departments to finalize their reports and recommendations in a timely manner to ensure that a unified provincial perspective is presented at the national level.
The participating departments shared their latest progress, updates, and recommendations regarding ongoing human rights initiatives. On this occasion, Secretary Farid Ahmad Tarar underscored that all representatives must ensure their meaningful and effective participation in the upcoming meeting of the National Task Force on Human Rights, to be chaired by the Federal Minister for Human Rights, leaving no room for any shortfall.
The meeting was attended by the Additional IGP Punjab, along with senior representatives from the Home Department, Industries, Labour, Social Welfare, Price Control, Women Development and the Local Government & Community Development (LG&CD) Department.
