LAHORE: On the occasion of Police Martyrs’ Day, DIG Investigation Lahore, Syed Zeeshan Raza, paid glowing tribute to the brave police officers who laid down their lives in the line of duty. He called the day “a renewal of our pledge” to protect citizens and uphold justice.

Speaking from the heart, DIG Raza said, “We salute those who sacrificed their lives on the path of duty. I’m proud to be part of a force that has given countless sacrifices for the dignity and sovereignty of the nation.” He added, “The police martyrs gave up their today for the bright future of the nation. Their courage and bravery can never be forgotten.”
He reaffirmed the commitment of the Lahore Investigation Police to continue serving the public without hesitation, declaring that the martyrs are a priceless asset of the department, whose legacy must be preserved for future generations.
Later in the day, under the vision of the Chief Minister of Punjab, DIG Zeeshan Raza personally listened to public complaints at his office and issued on-the-spot directives for timely resolution.
Several inquiries were ordered on-site, particularly regarding complaints about faulty investigations. In some cases, DIG Raza marked files for re-investigation by the Change of Investigation Board and issued show-cause notices to negligent investigating officers.
He also contacted Divisional SPs Investigation via phone and instructed them to immediately resolve issues raised in complaints. He stressed that public grievances related to case investigations must be addressed without delay.
DIG Zeeshan Raza made it clear that protecting life and property remains the top priority of the police, and that his office doors are always open to citizens. He urged police officers to treat visitors with respect and professionalism and to continue improving their performance in line with public expectations.
