LAHORE (Dunya News) – DIG Investigation Lahore, Syed Zeeshan Raza, chaired a high-level crime meeting at the Investigation Headquarters, where he reviewed pending cases, serious criminal investigations, and progress on arresting proclaimed offenders.
The meeting was attended by SP Investigation Model Town Dr. Ayaz Hussain, along with DSPs and In-charges of Investigations from the Model Town Division.

During the session, the DIG expressed concern over delays and poor-quality investigations. He issued stern warnings to officers showing negligence and underperformance. “There will be zero tolerance for carelessness, especially in cases involving violence against women, including rape, harassment, and torture,” he said.
DIG Zeeshan Raza instructed the formation of special teams for the arrest of proclaimed offenders. He emphasized that those who have fled abroad will be brought back through Interpol.
He directed all supervisory officers to obtain daily progress reports regarding the arrests of proclaimed offenders. He also stressed the need to apprehend suspects involved in financial crimes promptly and bring such cases to a logical conclusion.
The DIG advised DSPs to hold daily briefings with investigating officers working on high-profile and serious cases. “Immediate arrests of suspects in serious crimes must be ensured at all costs,” he added.
To improve the conviction rate, he directed that all available resources should be used and that strong challans must be prepared based on solid evidence to ensure that criminals are punished.
DIG Zeeshan Raza further instructed officers to enhance coordination with the prosecution branch and reiterated that no compromise on merit will be tolerated.
“Solving public issues and ensuring fair investigations based on merit are our top priorities,” he concluded.
