Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana emphasized the pivotal role of modern technology in enhancing public safety and capturing criminals. He stated that all hotel owners are legally bound to register their guest data in the Hotel Eye system. He added that Travel Eye has significantly assisted in the identification and arrest of wanted individuals.
Kamyana directed all hotels and private accommodations to promptly register with the Hotel Eye system, and instructed the police force to increase the use of E-Police Post software for vehicle and passenger checks at various checkpoints. He warned that legal action will be taken against establishments failing to comply with data entry requirements.
The CCPO also stressed the importance of leveraging the Punjab Safe Cities Authority’s surveillance network to deter criminal activities. He advised law enforcement units to actively monitor social media platforms for suspicious behavior or criminal indicators.
“Technology is playing a critical role in bringing criminals to justice,” Kamyana said, adding that the Lahore Police will continue using cutting-edge tools to monitor and deter criminal elements. He concluded that the integration of information technology in policing is essential for building a safer and more peaceful society.
