LAHORE – : The Investigation Wing of Lahore Police has secured a major conviction in a narcotics case, reaffirming its commitment to bringing drug traffickers to justice through strong prosecution and evidence-based investigation.

According to SP Investigation City, Farhat Abbas, a drug trafficker was sentenced to 20 years in prison along with a fine of Rs. 800,000 by the competent court in a case registered in 2023. The convict was found in possession of 17 kilograms of charas and 8 kilograms of opium at the time of arrest.
SP Farhat Abbas emphasized that the successful conviction was the result of meticulous investigation and proper preparation of the case challan, which helped ensure that the offender could not escape legal consequences.
DIG Investigation Lahore, Syed Zeeshan Raza, while commending the efforts of the investigation officers, said, “This is a testament to our resolve. The process of securing convictions through effective investigations will continue with the same determination.”
He added, “Drug dealers deserve no leniency. We are committed to protecting society from such criminal elements.”
Lahore Police Investigation Wing has adopted a strict policy towards narcotics-related crimes and continues to pursue cases with full legal force, ensuring that those involved in drug trafficking face the maximum penalty under the law.
