ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast another strong spell of monsoon rains across the country between July 21 and 25, warning of potential urban flooding, flash floods, and landslides in vulnerable regions.

Moist winds from the Arabian Sea and western systems are expected to bring rain, wind, and thunderstorms to Sindh (July 18–20), Balochistan (July 19–22), and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (July 21–25), while Punjab, Islamabad, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan are likely to experience heavy downpours and gusty winds from July 20 onward.
The PMD cautioned of flash floods in riverine areas of Murree, Galiyat, KP, and Rawalpindi-Islamabad, along with the risk of landslides in hilly regions.
Authorities and local administrations have been urged to stay alert and take necessary precautions, while citizens are advised to remain vigilant and avoid unnecessary travel during the forecast period.
