PAKPATTAN: Musa Maneka, son of former First Lady Bushra Bibi and her former husband Khawar Maneka, has been taken into police custody for allegedly shooting and injuring a domestic worker during a quarrel.

As per initial reports, the incident unfolded after a verbal spat between Musa and the worker, identified as Ali Bahadur, reportedly over carelessness in duties. In a moment of anger, Musa is said to have pulled out a firearm and opened fire, leaving the employee injured.
Pakpattan DPO Javed Iqbal confirmed the arrest and stated that the weapon involved has also been recovered. The injured worker was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment.
Authorities have launched a formal investigation and vowed that legal procedures will be followed strictly. “No one is above the law,” the police said in a brief statement, aiming to reassure the public.
The case has stirred public outrage, especially over the alleged misuse of influence and lack of accountability among privileged individuals. This is not the first time the Maneka family has made headlines, and this latest episode has only added fuel to the fire.
Officials have promised a transparent probe, and more details are expected as the inquiry progresses.
