Key suspect wanted for brutal killing in Lahore’s Garhi Shahu traced using technology and human intelligence

LAHORE: A fugitive involved in the murder of railway officer Faisal Manzoor in Lahore’s Garhi Shahu area has been arrested from Karachi, following a special directive by DIG Investigation Lahore, Syed Zeeshan Raza.

According to SP Investigation Civil Lines Khalid Saeed, the main accused had fled after killing the railway officer with a sharp-edged weapon. The murder was carried out in collusion with the victim’s wife and the accused’s real brother—both of whom were earlier arrested and sent to judicial custody.
The investigation was led by Garhi Shahu Investigation Incharge Shams Tabraiz, who, along with his team, tracked down the fugitive using modern technology and human intelligence.
DIG Investigation Zeeshan Raza stated that a solid charge sheet will be prepared based on strong evidence to ensure the accused receives due punishment. He reiterated the department’s commitment to dealing with criminals with an iron hand.
SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed announced commendation certificates for the police team in recognition of their outstanding work.
